Archbishops of San Antonio, New York Announce ‘Friendly Wager’ As Spurs Face Knicks in NBA Finals

New York Archbishop Ronald Hicks, left, and San Antonio Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller on June 3, 2026, issued their wagers over who will win the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs or the New York Knicks.

If they win, it will be the Spurs’ first NBA championship title since 2014, while for the Knicks it would be their first in over 50 years.
